New Eco-Tax on foreign registered cars entering Montenegro: As of 5th June 2008, foreign registered cars entering Montenegro will be subject to a new tax. The tax will be 10 euros for cars and minibuses. The tax will be charged at the border, and drivers will be given stickers to display as proof of payment. The stickers will be valid for 12 months

- REGISTRATION
Please note that you will need to register yourselves with the local authorities within 24 hours upon arrival. This is a standard procedure so that the authorities know who has entered the country. You will need to go to the local police station (the nearest one is located next to the only traffic lights in Herceg Novi) where you will need to present your passport. There is a small charge for this, which is approximately 1 euro per person per day

These prices are indicative only: Tivat airport to Djenovici - 35 euros each way with early / late transfers (before 8am and after 8pm) charged at an additional surcharge of 15 euros each way. Dubrovnik airport to Kotor - 80 euros each way. Tivat airport to Kotor - 45 euros each way. Podgorica to Kotor - 100 euros each way.
